New fodder for Django Reinhardt fans! On its fourth album, the Würzburg quartet delights with a very appealing combination: Felix Leitner's virtuosically played and bright-sounding acoustic Gypsy guitar meets Stefan Degner's warm-sounding electric jazz guitar. Thomas Buffy plays his swinging violin in the tradition of Stéphane Grappelli. Sabrina Damiani provides the rhythm on the crisp double bass and also delights with ravishing solos. The outstanding thing about this album is that the band plays only their own compositions, somewhere between French Sinti jazz and American swing. Their cosmopolitan music also sounds like gentle samba and bossa nova, earthy blues, Balkan melodies, soulful gospel or lively bluegrass - always full of joy, loving details and a lot of gypsy flair. There is also a Corona track, the extremely good-humored "Stompin' Quarantine". This relaxed and at the same time rousing album is fun throughout, and every track has your foot bouncing!
